A limited number of solar eclipse glasses will be available on site and will be handed out immediately. For groups, one pair of solar eclipse glasses is provided for the group to share.

Flying high

Experience a summer evening full of special moments at the Long Night of the Cable Car. The free ride on the Valisera cable car will take you up into the stunning mountain landscape, where a varied programme awaits you. Look forward to fascinating insights into the technology and operation of the cable car, atmospheric live music and spectacular performances by the acrobatic group ‘7th Heaven’, whose acts at lofty heights are sure to give you unforgettable goosebumps.

A special highlight of the evening is the partial solar eclipse. Experience this fascinating natural spectacle amidst the Montafon mountains and enjoy the view of the sky against an extraordinary backdrop. Combined with the sunset, regional delicacies and a cool drink, it creates a mountain experience you’ll never forget.

A quick note

The solar eclipse begins at 7.24 pm. By 8.00 pm, around 80–85 per cent of the Sun will already be covered by the Moon. However, as the Sun will disappear behind the mountains at around 8.10 pm from our venue, the peak of the solar eclipse will not be fully visible from here.

Arrival by public transport

After the train ride from your starting point to Schruns, take the 650 bus to St Gallenkirch and get off at the Valisera Bahn valley station. Click here for the timetable.

If you are in possession of a multi-day ticket, the journey by public transport from Bludenz to Montafon is included during the day.
